Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about books, secure payment, personalized PDFs, downloads, licences, learning tools and customer support.

Accessibility

What should I do if I cannot use part of the website or PDF?

Contact support with the page or publication, device, browser and assistive technology. We will investigate an accessible alternative and include the barrier in our improvement programme.

Account & Privacy

How do I change my email or password?

Use the account area or password-reset process. A sensitive account change may require email verification or support review to protect access to purchased books.

Can I request a copy or deletion of my data?

Yes. Submit a privacy request from your account. Some transaction, tax, licence and security records may need to be retained where law or legitimate claims require it.

Downloads

How long does personalisation take?

Most files are generated shortly after confirmed payment. My Library shows a preparation status while the background worker applies the watermark and verifies the output.

Why is there a download limit?

The limit allows normal personal access while reducing unauthorised redistribution. Support can review genuine technical failures and may regenerate a file or restore a download after verification.

Can I use the PDF on more than one device?

You may use your personal copy on a reasonable number of devices that you control. You must not upload it to a shared folder, public platform or organisation-wide drive.

Institutions

Can a university or law firm buy multiple licences?

Yes. Institutional packages support seat-based access, bulk invitations, licence dates and organisation-level administration. Submit an institutional enquiry for a tailored quotation.

Can seats be reassigned?

Reassignment depends on the licence schedule. Short accidental assignments can usually be corrected; repeated sharing or rotation intended to avoid purchasing sufficient seats is not permitted.

Learning

Are the books suitable for law students?

Yes. The collection supports law students, trainee lawyers, paralegals, translators and experienced professionals who use English as an additional language. Each book page identifies its level and expected outcomes.

Do the books provide legal advice?

No. They are educational resources about language and professional communication. Readers must check current law and seek qualified advice for actual legal matters.

Are there quizzes, notes and progress tools?

Purchased titles can include reading progress, private notes, bookmarks, glossary terms, self-assessment quizzes and completion certificates from the Study Tools page.

Purchasing

What do I receive after purchase?

You receive access to a customer-specific PDF in My Library. The copy is generated for your account and contains your name, email address, order number and purchase details as a visible watermark on every page.

Can I preview a book before paying?

Yes. Each book page includes a secure preview of selected pages together with the full description, learning outcomes, edition information and table of contents.

Which payment methods are accepted?

The live checkout displays the methods made available by the configured payment provider. Availability may vary by country, currency, card issuer and the merchant account.

Refunds

Can I receive a refund for a digital book?

Refunds are reviewed under the Digital Product Refund Policy. We normally resolve access or file defects first. Applicable non-excludable consumer rights remain unaffected.

Security

What happens if my personalised copy is shared?

The account and download records may be reviewed, access may be temporarily restricted and support may contact the customer. Investigations consider the evidence and possible account compromise before enforcement.

Support

How do I contact support?

Registered customers can open a support ticket and track replies. General visitors can use the Contact page. Include an order number where the enquiry concerns a purchase.

Updates

Will I receive corrected editions?

Important errata appear in your library. Eligibility for a replacement or updated edition depends on the book’s update policy and the scale of the revision.
